The success of the LEFT BEHIND SERIES, including
“Left Behind: The Kids Series” and the LEFT BEHIND
Graphic Novels, has created a high level of brand awareness.
In the summer of 2001, Barna Research Group, Ltd. conducted
a random telephone survey about the LEFT BEHIND SERIES that
was commissioned by Tyndale. Below is a summary of the information
gleaned from 2,400 completed surveys. According to Barna Research
Group, Ltd., the survey is accurate to within 4%.
- 35% of those surveyed
heard of the LEFT BEHIND SERIES books and tapes;
- 17% of those surveyed
had purchased a LEFT BEHIND SERIES book;
- of those who have heard of the LEFT BEHIND
SERIES, 47% have read 1-2 books; of those who have heard
of the LEFT BEHIND SERIES, 31% have read 3-6 books; of those
who have heard of the LEFT BEHIND SERIES, 22% have read
7 ore more books.
This survey was completed prior to the release
of the ninth book in the series, and yet the numbers confirm
that there is significant brand awareness for the LEFT BEHIND
SERIES.
Additionally, the official website of the
LEFT BEHIND SERIES, located at www.leftbehind.com,
posts the following information:
- One in 10 adults have
read at least one book from the series;
- 35% of the adult
population in America is aware of the LEFT BEHIND SERIES;
- Over 60 million books
have been purchased;
- The books are available in more than 30
language translations;
In a survey undertaken by Tyndale, 72% of the individuals surveyed who knew of the LEFT BEHIND SERIES had Internet access.
In a more recent survey, 72% of Left Behind readers play video games and 92% of readers will consider purchasing a Left Behind video game for themselves or a family member.
